How our garden furniture is sustainable?
At Amazonas, sustainability is not just a buzzword, it is a way of life. Our commitment to sustainable practices is reflected in every step of our handmade furniture production process. From sourcing materials to manufacturing and shipping, we prioritize sustainable methods to minimize our environmental impact while delivering the highest quality products to our customers.
We believe that using sustainable materials is the first step towards creating a sustainable product. That's why we only use FSC-certified wood from sustainably managed forests. This ensures that the wood we use is responsibly sourced and that the forests are not being depleted for our products.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond materials sourcing. We have installed solar modules on the roof of our production building to generate electricity, reducing our reliance on non-renewable sources of energy. We also collect rainwater and store it in tanks for various production processes, reducing our dependence on municipal water sources.
We believe that durability and longevity are essential components of sustainability. That's why we use agora fabric in our furniture, which is not only high quality but also hard-wearing. We also use recycled materials such as PET bottles as a filling material for the upholstery of our garden furniture, reducing waste and conserving resources.
We understand that production processes can have a significant environmental impact. That's why we have implemented a central exhaust system in our production facility, which captures wood chips and recycles them. Air filters also absorb fine wood particles, creating a clean and dust-free working environment. The collected wood chips are automatically pressed into briquettes and burned in a computer-controlled furnace. The energy generated in the process is then used to heat the wood-drying plant, creating a sustainable energy cycle.
We are conscious of our carbon footprint and have strategically located our production facility close to Poland, to minimize CO2 emissions from transportation.
For Amazonas, sustainability is not an afterthought, it is at the heart of our business. We believe that a commitment to sustainability is not only necessary to protect our planet, but it also leads to the creation of the highest quality products that stand the test of time.
